Can’t start the new year without wrapping up the last year. I may not have worn a lot of makeup towards the end of the year, but, I still have my favorites of the year.
2023 was a year where I didn’t create nearly as much “Beauty” content as much as I wanted to, however, 2024 is a new year and we are definitely going to kick it up. But, let’s talk about my favorite products from 2023.
Makeup
Makeup-wise, it was a quiet year. I didn’t do much makeup-related shopping, not many looks, etc. However, here’s a couple of products that kept me right.
L’Oreal has been my go-to drugstore foundation for almost two years. 510 Hazelnut matches me perfectly and it feels like nothing is on my skin, which is what I love. It lasts all day and into the night as well.
One of my favorite higher-end foundations in the Rare Beauty one. I love the applicator (doe foot applicator) and how you can control the coverage easily using that applicator. It feels like a serum on the skin.
Another serum feeling like foundation is the LYS Beauty one. It feels smooth to the touch when on the skin and it lasts all day. It feels like a skincare step.
This has been one of my ride-or-die eyeshadows for a while now. It’s perfect for everyday looks and also for more glam looks.
Rihanna has some of my favorite lip glosses on the market period. They are so nice on the lips and they aren’t sticky.
This bronzer is AMAZING. It blends in so heavenly on the skin, like butter.
You can build these blushes up or down. They can be as bold or understated as you want.
My first cream blush love and they will forever be a ride-or-die, I just wish they were bigger!
My mom and I love mascara, if there is any makeup product that we will always go crazy over, it’s mascara. This is one of my favorite mascaras period and I love how it hugs my lashes without making them hard.
Skincare & Body Care
I have really been leaning more and more into my skincare element this past year. I had been working on hyperpigmentation and toning in my face and then dry skin patches in my bodily skin from my eczema.
Bolden reached out after I reviewed on of their other products and sent me their eye patches. They are so BOMB. They visibly help the appearance of puffiness and I really can see that difference after I take them off.
I decided to try their toner as well to be my go-to while I was in the hospital. It has done wonders for helping clear my skin of minor breakouts and feeling clean.
My favorite multi-step moisturizer right now. A wonderful moisturizer with an addition of SPF.
I was gifted this little face cleanser device through Influenster but baby, I love this thing. It makes my skin feel so clean on a deeper level.
I love a good Tiara Willis recommendation. She raved about this body wash for a long time before I was able to get my hands on it. It is amazing and it’s good for my eczema babes as well. With the weather being cold, doubling the moisture in your skin is key.
This has been one of my favorite body oils all year. It’s thick but not too thick to be used all year, throughout every season. It also goes well with mixing with any lotion.
This body cream is perfect for when you get out the shower. It’s thick that mixes well with oil or even the little amount of water still on your skin to lock in moisture for hours. You’ll also smell delectable.
If you know me, you know this is my favorite lip balm. It keeps my lips moisturized all day long and a little goes a long way.
My go-to oil for helping with my stretch marks. I had some before baby girl and now they are darker since I’ve had baby girl. When I was using it before she was born, I called it “Reyna’s Oil.”
